About Jimmy Wan's | Restaurant & Lounge
Since 2006, Jimmy Wanβs is where Pittsburgh families gather, celebrate, and eat really well. We are a family-owned restaurant built on recipes passed down through generations. We bring bold flavors and thoughtful hospitality to every table because that is how we would want to be treated, too. From wok-fired classics, fresh sushi rolls and cocktails worth lingering over, every dish reflects the care that comes from cooking for the people you love.
We use locally sourced ingredients and traditional techniques, not because it is trendy, but because it is the way it has always been done in kitchens that care. Whether it is your first visit or your fiftieth, we are here to give you something worth coming back for.

The decor and service is great. But I think thatβs to lull you into a sense of false security because the food is absolutely the most overpriced Chinese Iβve ever had. Itβs not bad, as you can eat it, but for the money itβs very disappointing and low quality. Each item has a quality of buffet food that is about to be swapped out for fresher food but hasnβt yet. The lo mein is overtly oily and not well seasoned. The chicken was tired and rubbery and not even portioned well. Rice is bland and instant. The fried foods are slathered in a clearly bottled sweet and sour sauce making them soggy by the time it gets to your table. If it was a quarter of the price I could imagine being fine with it. However considering the quality of much cheaper restaurants in the area I wouldnβt say that. For reference: At Thai and Noodle Outlet you can get two full meals of excellent quality with enough for leftovers for half the price that come with rice instead of tacking it on. At Ichiban itβs closer to the prices however you get a much better quality of food even if the service is similar. Flavorful, better cooked, seasoned and fresh. Again, the service and building are very beautiful but clearl

The most bland greasy overpriced food Iβve ever had, how can you mess up lo mein? Im not even exaggerating. I passed the cool dragon billboard, and it seems they put all the money into the billboard and not into the food. It was lukewarm, sat all day, overpriced buffet food. As if they got it from the freezer warmed it up at 6am and sat it under a food lamp for the rest of the day. Will never come here again. Service was great though!

Jimmy Wanβs in Fox Chapel has become the restaurant I compare every other restaurant to. The food is exceptional, the cocktails are outstanding, and the service always makes you feel like a regular. Grab a seat at the bar, let the bartenders create a custom cocktail, and honestly, you canβt go wrong with anything on the menu. Our familyβs favorite is the General Tsoβs Chicken and if the Crispy Rice is on the menu, GET IT. Youβll thank me later. One of the best dining experiences Iβve ever had. Itβs the kind of place that brings us back time and time again and has become a tradition whenever weβre in the area.

General Tso wings were not breaded and just tossed in pan. Enjoyed the Orange Filet Mignon. It was very tender and the veggies were delicious.

Excellent sit-down Chinese restaurant. Not your average corner store Asian takeout. Best fried rice I've had in a long time. The menu features a wide range of pan-asian sharable dishes. I recommend tasting and trying the sushi menu. π£ also great selection of vegetarian options. Come for happy hour menu, featuring small plates, sushi and refreshing cocktails.
